Daan Donkers is a student guest blogger for the Utrecht School of Historicizing Security Blog. He is currently enrolled in the MA programme ‘International Relations in Historical Perspective’ at Utrecht University. His blog stems from an assignment in the MA course Security Politics in Europe Since the 19th Century’. For his MA thesis, Daan is currently studying local peacebuilding initiatives of disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) within the recent and still ongoing Colombian peace process.
