Steffen Rimner at History Research Seminar UVA

Steffen Rimner will deliver a lecture called ‘The Eye of the Global Beholder: Asia, International Relations and the Origins of Global Drug Control’. This lecture is based on his monograph, which is under contract with Harvard University Press, and will reassess some of the potential and some of the limitations of global historical analysis in explaining the Asian origins of global drug control. This talk is part of a lecture series of the history research seminar of the UvA (University of Amsterdam), Amsterdam School of Historical Studies.
