Presentation by Constantin Ardeleanu

Constantin Ardeleanu will present a paper at the Congress of Romanian Historians, organised in Cluj-Napoca by the “Babeș-Bolyai” University and the Romanian Academy (August 25–28). The paper, titled “The European Commission of the Danube, Sulina and the Phases of Romania’s Grain Trade (1774-1914)”, will refer to the factors that contributed to the development of the Danubian grain trade and the Danube Commission’s involvement in regulating trade and shipping on the maritime Danube during the second half of the 19th century. Constantin will also take part at a round table on new approaches on the study of “Romania and the Danube Question”.
