Presentation by Constantin Ardeleanu

Constantin Ardeleanu will give a lecture at the Institute of South-Eastern European History of the Romanian Academy on Tuesday, 13 December 2016. The paper is entitled “The Wild, Wild East. European Technology Transfer and Bureaucracy at the Mouths of the Danube (19^th-20^th Centuries)”. The presentation will discuss the contribution of the European Commission of the Danube to the modernization of the area of the Danube Delta and the creation of a security regime on the Lower Danube by the introduction of shipping regulations.
