Ozan Ozavci at Neuzeitliches Forschungskolloquium Uni Kässel

Ozan Ozavci will deliver a lecture at the Universität Kassel at the Neuzeitliches Forschungskolloquium Wintersemester 2017/18. The title of his lecture is ‘Imperial Security Culture: The Syrian Civil War of 1860 and the European Commission’. In his seminar, Dr Ozan Ozavci is going to talk about the Ottoman and European perceptions of security in the mid-nineteenth century through the prism of the 1860 Druze-Maronite civil war and the subsequent European intervention.
